My battery randomly died last night, I jumped it per owners manual. The truck was driven for about 45 minutes, volts look good via forscan. I shut the truck off and it starts right back up.

Now, my radio, Sirius, phone, volume, and on/off button are acting weird. The radio won't turn on, Bluetooth connects to the phone but will not play sound, my volume knob will display up/down then stop responding (wait a minute or two and it will display again). Forscan doesn't show anything abnormal. I did the RTC, ACM, and BLM reset with no new results. Checked radio, sync, and another radio related fuse, all look good.

**Just unhooked both battery cables and touched them together for about a minute, hooked battery back up, no changes.

Any thoughts?

Fuses or relays?
Which system do you have? 4.2", 8", Sony?
I have some workshop manuals on these that may help with troubleshooting.

The 4.2".
I disconnected the BLM sensor, they must have connected it when the timing chain was done, no change, reset BLM, no change.

Here's the video of what I'm dealing with, a d.d. button pushing for dramatic effect.

Clearing the memory by shorting batery to ground with the negative lead disconnected will reset the Sync. My 2017 F150 with base Sync took over-nite to refresh via wireless internet update.
It just may need time to fully update itself. KM

PS; I did this as part of my summer maintenance with a throttle reset/clearing memory and full relearn. km

Mine did that before it let the smoke out. Hope yours isn’t on its way.

My Sync was just as your video showed, after this
Electronic Throttle Body Calibration Procedure

Prosessed the re-learn and drove about 30 minutes. After the Sync still did not work. The next morning it was full back and working. KM

I'll let it sit overnight outside.

Checked the fuses again for s&g, they're good.

Do you get decent wireless internet connection where you park? It may need that to up-date and load the program. KM

Yes. It's parked outside, 20' from our router though.

Edit, are you referring to the cell or wifi? Either way, decent signal all around.

Radio is probably shorted, it’s what happened to mine. Unplug those two fuses and report back.
