I've been noticing that at random one of the four doors on my 2011 Eco lariat has either stayed locked or doesn't lock...? I'm thinking is the actuators but was wondering if anyone else has had similar issues?

I thought it was just me. I can click that little button 1,2,3 times and still when I get to the truck the drivers door will be locked. I hit it once again and it will unlock. I need to pay attention to find out if it is only when I have used the remote start first or if that even figures into the equation.
I may have it looked at then I go in for my first oil change, but until then I can live with it.....until it happens the next time.

I have an issue with my drivers door/lock since new. When I unlock the truck with the remote all the doors unlock, but the drivers door handle won't open the door on the first pull. I have to pull it once and then pull it again and it will open. Basically I have to pull the handle twice to open the drivers door. None of the other doors do this. I had just planned to take it in when I had a free day but was expecting it might be normal for whatever reason. It sounds like your issues are similar, but different.

Possibly a short or a blown fuse? I have not had any issues with the locks on my FX4 and I have an after market remote start. Either way, it will be covered under warranty.

Me too, thought I was going crazy. None of the other doors, just the drivers door.

More often then not its the drivers door but I've had it happen randomly to all the doors and the most recent was the back drivers side. So I called the dealership to bring it in and upon arrival problem solved? I guess it fixed itself for now. Other then that what a awesome truck! So happy I went with the Eco instead of the 5.0. 24mpg at 63mph.

OK, I checked into the issue, it is a know issue and can be corrected by taking the truck into the dealership service dept for a quick reprogram. If the doesn't open with the first pull of the handle, it will on the second. But, again it is a known matter and will be corrected under warranty.

That's good to know. I'm under factory warranty an I have the premium care so not worried too much. Just didnt know if it was just me or others had the same issue.

My truck sometimes won't even let me lock it or unlock it at all, it drives me nuts! I'm taking it into the dealer tomorrow to have it fixed thanks for the heads up

I have had to pull the drivers door handle twice to open it. I unlock with key remote, and pull the handle twice. It is the only door with this issue. I have gone into truck setting to see if there was something there. I have scanned through the owner manual. Called dealer they said they had not heard of this occurring. To bring it in and leave it with them for a couple days and they would go through it to see if it can be fixed. Any one else having this issue? Any thoughts or comments?

I took mine to the Dealer and they checked it out. Said it was the door latch and that they would replace it. After testing it for several minutes, they found that when locked, unlocking by remote, if they pushed on the door handle lightly they could hear a click. Then when they pulled on the handle it would open on first pull. Long story short, "unlock w/remote then push on handle before pulling". Of coarse the Ford house didn't have the part in stock, said they would call me as soon as new latch mechanism came in. Try it and let me know if this works for you.

Im glad im not the only one with the double pull on the drivers door. I too have gone through the whole manual and truck dash settings and found nothing. Will get it checked out on the first oil change.

Just had my dealer replace the entire door lock mechanism/handle.

They tried to fix it but only made it worse to where the door would not open from the outside.

This led to the full replacement.

All seems to be perfect now.

Well at least we now know there is a fix for the lock.
