I got a 2016 F150 3.5 XLT and of course I love the power and want to keep it reliable and economical. I've heard horror stories about the turbos and their dislike of certain additives blowing them up and sorts. My question: I'm a cheapskate and burn regular pump gas, 87 octane with ethanol. Does a dose of Marvel Mystery oil in the fuel, at prescribed dosage to clean fuel stuff up and overcome my cheapness hurt the turbos or should it be avoided.... like Seafoam for instance? Thanks for any replies.

I would research research and research. Have not heard of anyone experiencing a failure from using additives. I would run premium when you run additives for the extra knock protection during your additive purge. What makes you think the fuel system needs a cleaning?
