I just bought a 2013 ecoboost, I've put a stage 2 afe cold air, a 4" afe catback exhaust and an sct 91 tune in it, and I keep getting the P050E code come up, I clear it, and it doesn't come on for a few days, just wanted to know if anyone knows why this keeps happening? The code is for cold start exhaust temp too low?..

Sct canned tune did the same thing to my 2013, switched to 5 star 93 and hasn't come back since, I think its something with the tune on the 2013 models.

Hopefully when I go get it properly tuned by a shop, it clears up this problem!

It may just be that other company s turn the cel for that code off. The code is for exhaust gas temp too low for cold start. My guess is that the tune stops the cold start fuel dump used to heat the cat up quickly. This is only for emisssions and doing away with it would help with fuel economy. I would not worry about it. If it bothers you that much just get a custom tune and have them turn that code off.
