As we get further and further into modifying these ecoboost motors we continue to look for ways to make more power. Water/ Meth injection is a proven and safe way to make power in any application, but makes alot of sense when it comes to boosted applications. Here is our ecoboost water methanol injection package. Sounds like we may have an install video coming up soon on these.

I would think it's important to monitor knock any time you're messing with fueling, but I don't know enough about tuning to answer that for sure.

I'm doing this more for safety reasons than performance gains.

As I understand it, you monitor afr to set the amount of spray, but knock would really only come into play if you advanced the timing for max power.

I'm no expert, so there's a fifty fifty chance I'm off base. ;-)

Either way, this paired with my new MPT tunes, I should see a good increase in power while adding some extra safety to the engine.

Where are they tapping into the boost source for the '13's?
I was looking at my intake today, and the only available port has an elbow and that crazy gray "lo perm" hose attached to it.

I don't know how this kit works, but AEM uses a pressure transducer built into its module that requires a tube be hooked up behind the throttle body.

It's drilled and tapped for two connections.

Even though FR didn't recommend meth shot in after the throttle.

I really don't think you'll see enough of it blow by and taint your oil...

I suppose, but I'm seeing the perfect meth nozzle and boost source mounting plate when I look at it.

So, a bit of3/8" fuel injector hose, four hose clamps, a 3/8x3/8x3/16 wye, and I'm golden!

It's not just water, it's a 50/50 mix of water and methanol, water being used to dilute the methanol.
Methanol has many good effects for combustion engines.

Benefits Of Water Methanol Injection: ​

• Lower air charge temperatures by 40-200+ degrees​
• Increases your fuel’s octane by 10-25+, points dependant on mixture and amount of spray.

• Allows you to safely run more boost and timing.

• Removes carbon build-up from combustion chambers, pistons and valves​
• Longer more stable combustion expansion and progression​
• Reduces and helps eliminate engine damaging detonation and pre-ignition​
• No need for expensive racing fuel or additives
  
  No water/meth will be "leaking past" the rings.
  It is such a fine and volatile mist, it gets burned up with combustion.
