It was a pretty good buy, $397 delivered and that included all the Canik goodies and a gun rug from the vendor. Going to be doing several more Polymer80’s over the next few weeks too. I’ve been having a ball.

Just traded a set of old ported camel hump 461s for this. Heads haven't been on a car in 20 years, figured I would get more use out of this.

That looks like an AR15-style "pistol", yes? Doesn't look to be an SBR (short barrel rifle), which would require ATF approval. I have one similar to that, posted up on a previous page or two. Still have to get the Sig optic zeroed against the iron sights and laser bore sight, but that would be a fun way to kill an hour or two!

Yes it is. 7.5 inch barrel with a blade brace. Here is a picture of it next to my full size Core. looking forward to cranking a few rounds through it this weekend.

I have several of these going in a variety of colors and in various states right now. Christmas is coming and my kids decided they’d like one. The one on the bottom here is one I’ve built for myself and is in essence a baby brother to the one I posted earlier in this thread. It still needs a few more parts to make the trigger the way I want but it’s a shooter as it sits.

They have some very good prices on the completion kits going on gun.deals right now. Specifically Alpha Shooting Sports. With the sales going on these can be put together as a complete shooter with one mag for just under $400.

Guess the caliber, Fully of all three.
Simply .22 is not the correct answer for any of them.

FN 509 tactical, haven’t been able to shoot it yet but if it shoots anything like the FNX it will be a blast, especially with the 24 round mags it comes with.

^^^ That’s what I’d have guessed. .22 Long Rifle, .22 Remington Ram Jet, .22 Hornet. I don’t have either of the last 2 listed but the .22 Remington Ram Jet is a pretty unique profile.

Here’s one to add to the list.

Yup, it’s a .22 WMR. I was trying to trick you with the size of the pic. ;)

22LR, 22 Rem jet??? ,22 hornet
Yes!
The 22 Jet is definitely unique.
I have a Thompson Center with a 22 Jet Barrell.

Top Barrell is 22 Jet the other two are 44 Magnum. The barrel that is mounted is the 44 Magnum Hotshot barrel.

Bought my son this Canik SFX a couple of months ago. His Christmas present was this Holosun 508TR. I installed it and used a laser bore sighter to set it up. He shot it today an said it needed no further adjustment. The comment he made is one I’ve heard many times before, “this red dot feels like cheating”. He was very happy with it.

Hey guys, looking at getting my first handgun. I’ve shot a few over the years but have never felt a need to have one but I would like to get one as I want to get my CCW and so does the wife. Looking at this, thoughts of it being a good starter?

I’m heading to the gun shop now to feel it out, anything I should pay attention to or be aware of? Any info is appreciated!

I have 4 caniks now, love all of them. My sfx has the stock vortex viper it came with, takes a bit to get used to but they are fun.

Go open minded, fondle a bunch of them. If the shop has a range rent a few, or find somewhere that rents the ones you think you like.

Seconded! For conceal carry, I tend to think more along the lines of "ease of use and most reliability in the smallest package possible". My thoughts are that (God forbid) I get in a situation where I'm forced to draw my weapon, it's more than likely going to be at a fairly close range; also, I don't want to accidentally show any part of my gun in public. Legal in Texas with an LTC, but I don't want to alarm non-gun owners. Kind of like walking a big dog; I love big dogs, but some people are terrified of them.
I'm a fan of the Ruger LCP myself for conceal carry, but it's certainly not a fun range gun, and it might have more of a kick than some folks want to deal with.

I fondled this for a good while. Felt really comfy and manageable over some others though this being my first real experience with handling handguns it’s all subjective. Although what I had handled was the M17 version I plan on getting the M18.

The Sig P320 family is a fantastic choice in polymer framed handguns.
