Yes. I have this set up and I know I'm not the only one. I have a 3 inch pipe installed from the y-pipe to the DBX muffler. I really like it for what it is and how much I paid. Mine is a '13, though.

 

ok great - I'm running the resonator delete and the sound is nice, but I'm curious - did the muffler change cause an increase in interior noise? Did you get any performance improvement? How is the sound compared to OE/stock?

I wanna hear off road catless pipes and true dual 4" straight no muffler pipes all the way out under the rear bumper at wide open throttle on a F150 3.5 Eco Screw longbed.

 

Has anybody tried the
Flowmaster FlowFX Extreme Single Exhaust System; Turn Down?
It basically deletes the stock resonator and swaps muffler right? wondering if its worth the price vs. resonator delete and muffler swap.

 

I have not seen or heard of anyone using that setup. Wonder if that muffler has a different sound compared to the FM dBx muffler. Cost appears roughly the same overall IMO.

 

I was under the impression that it might be louder than just replacing the stock muffler with the FM DBX muffler, cause this set up seems to be replacing resonator.
I'm between Flowmaster FlowFX Extreme Single Exhaust System; Turn Down or SPD Off-road Axle Dump Dual Exit 304SS Cat Back Exhaust Kit.
Price difference does surprise me.

literally all of them will sound ricey. Unless you find a muffler with a ton of packing or baffles.

 

SPD Off-road Axle Dump Dual Exit 304SS Cat Back Exhaust Kit, actually sounds pretty good.

 

here's mine I just had the SPD downs installed about a month ago and am really liking the sound has a nice rumble to it
