I was wanting to add a power point to my truck located where the useless change holder is located. I popped out the change holder and there is a wiring harness connected to it. I was going to tap off this harness but upon checking for voltage there was no power to it. Does anyone know if there is a way to turn power on to this harness using Forscan. I’m not sure what this spot is used for in other trucks but this would be a lot easier than having to run wire to fuse panel.
If anyone can assist I would be grateful.

I think that harness has something to do with trailer brake.

But knowing what year and model your truck is would help us make better guesses.

See if enabling the trailer brake will give power to the connector.

Isn't that where the 4 Wheel Drive selector would be?
Yours must be 2wd then?

In which case, I'd think a setting related to 4WD would provide power to a pin in the harness.

I wonder if you need to have a trailer connected to get the wiring online even if you turn it on in Forscan.

@Upshifter I second that, thats where my '17 has the selector switch for 2H, 4H, 4L
The trailer break and back up assist is if they are equiped. The picture below is without the back up assist.
