I have a 2013 F150 Ecoboost 4X4 and am getting around 12mpg in town. I don't drive crazy and was wondering if this is normal. Only have 2300 miles so far.
That seems low. What rear end do you have. I have a 3.73 and I get at least 14 in town, unloaded.
I agree with Yake Bait. When it is cold I notice the fuel economy isn't there, once it warms up it gets better. I average about 20 on the highway. But I can't drive 55...I feel a song comming on.lolWarm up the engine and transmission to operating temp and mileage improves a lot. I get 12-13 cold and up to 24 mpg highway warmed up. The torque converter, I think, is the main reason for the low mpg until it kicks in.
That is awesome mpg!I just drove to LA and got 21.1! I had cruise set at 60 though. No traffic at all. When I got to the grapevine I was at 20.8, dropped down to 20.1 while driving up the second grade, but by the time I got to my in-laws it was up to 21.1. Will hand calc tmw to verify.
