I received the timing "kit" from Ford and thought I would share the contents. It is far from what I consider a complete list for the job, but saved a few hundred dollars over ordering the parts individually.
It does appear that everything I thought would be in the box is included. That said, some of the part numbers are different and a few of them do not pull up on any of the parts sites. The Phasers, Water Pump Gasket and Timing Chain were all just bubble wrapped or in paper or cardboard, not in labeled parts bags... all parts were in a single box with the "Ford Parts" Label showing part no. BL3Z-6D256-C. So, most all of the part no.s I am giving below are what is stamped into the part itself.
Contents:
qty2 - Exhaust PHASER AT4E-6C525-FL, stamped "1 & 2" (look like AT4Z-6C525-D)
qty2 - Intake PHASER AT4E-6C525-FL (looks same as AT4Z-6256-B)
qty1 - Water Pump Gasket BR3E-8507-LA
qty1 - Primary Timing Chain
qty1- Bag containing the following...
qty1 - Front Crank Seall, XW4E-6700-AA
qty1 - Timing Cover Seal? (part no. not labeled)
qty6 - Intake Manifold Gaskets (Green Seals, part no. not labeled)
qty1 - Valve Cover Gasket (part no. not labeled)
qty4 - Bolt, assumed camshaft sprocket/PHASER (part no. not labeled)
qty1 - Bolt, assumed "SE WTR BYP TUB" (part no. not labeled)
qty1 - Gasket/O-RING, assumed HPFP (part no. not labeled)
qty1 - O-RING Brown (part no. not labeled)
qty1 - O-Ring Black (part no. not labeled)
I was hoping to confirm that the parts inside were the most up to date, but I am having trouble doing so between the stamped numbers not pulling up and the mixed bag of seals/gaskets/bolts not having numbers for all of the contents inside.
What do you all think? Are we good to go? My main concern would be that the Phasers in this kit are the latest and greatest revisions from Ford.
