Just a little project I started working on after Memorial Day.

6 foot 2x2 square tubing 1/4 inch thick
14 inch 2x2 square tubing 1/4 inch thick
2 2x2 flat metal squares used to cover the ends
Flat metal 16 inches on the long side 11 inches on the short side used as a brace.
2 Carabiners that screws together 1/4 inch thick and 2 inches long welded 33 inches apart
3x5 American Flag from American Flags Express. (high wind) The edge of the flag has reinforced stitching.

The 6 foot piece drops down about half an inch from the bottom of the 14 inch piece. I forgot exactly how far back I drilled the hole for the pin, but I just used a trailer hitch and used it as my guide. For the brace I put it up to the pole and positioned it where I liked it. The carabiners were positioned so the flag was almost flush with the top of the pole. To finish it off I painted the whole thing black.

Nice, just wish I could weld good enough for it to hold up to high wind.

I took a welding class my senior year of high school and got certified which helped a lot. I put 4 layers of metal on each weld to make sure it held.
The fastest I've drove with it was 55 MPH, and probably won't go any faster.
