Talley: Most good tire websites can help with computing the backspacing. I think Tire Rack's website had one where I could put my stock dimensions and then use it to compute the proper backspacing. It was a while ago I too looked exactly into what you are doing and contemplating the same thing. (That's scary).

Also, consider talking to a tire shop and ask them to confirm the backspacing.

Have you thought of smaller tires to get an effective gear ratio of 4.10 that you are seeking?

PS: I the tires stick out ... just add some flairs.

Wasn't seeking 4.10s. Was seeking 5500rpm at trap. Doesn't matter what gear/tire combo I use to get there.
Okay ... I see where you are going with this.

Talley, just checking up what's happening. BTW, have you looked into the rear (Eaton Detroit True Trac)?

I am currently in some "live discussion battles", and I want to ditch the e-Locker for the True Trac. Most of my driving is street (summer & winter). The True Trac seems a better fit for me than the e-Locker. It would also allow me to launch in 2WD instead of 4WD.
