Where were they done? Components replaced? Warranty or not? At Ford or a private shop?

Gen 2, done once on original power train warranty at 55k miles or 89k km.

EcoBoost Engine generations:
Gen1 = 2011-2016
Gen2 = 2017-2020
Gen3 = 2021 > present

For my Gen 2 - I bought it pre-owned. Cam Phasers replaced soon after at ~ 46k miles, at my local Ford Dealership, under warranty.

Mine was done around 68,000 miles by Ford. I was past the warranty but luckily Ford covered it under a recall (well, they called it something else).

Gen 2 3.5:
Done 2 times both at the dealer under warranty. I think something is up again concerning them so might change to 3 times lol.
First time, the old style was put in. Then the new ones came out and with the confirmation of the old ones being bad again, I went back and checked the part number which happened to be the new ones. First round was about 60k ish but it was making the noise when I bought it used just didnt know anything about it. Second time was just before 70k so it was fully covered.

Just hit 90k, <10k miles left on warranty....

Cam phasers replaced at 68,000 right after I purchased it.
I purchased a water pump, guides, chains, and tensioners for dealer to install while doing the phasers, but they forgot the extras and basically told me not to worry about it bc they refunded my money for the parts.

I wonder if anyone has put 100k trouble free miles on the newest updated phasers…

Done at 17K initially and they are ready to be done again 26,525 miles now. Just called my service dept. Did they put the old style back in??
Work was done at a Ford dealership.

2013, never been done and sitting at 145k miles or so. I do have the parts for it already because I figure I’ll have to do it eventually. Probably just do it around 175k as preventative maintenance if they don’t cause issues before then

That should be the "new style" ones if I remember correctly, and theres 2 for the 2 intake cams. there should be another set of cam sprokets listed on there and those will be for your exhaust cams

Zero so far. Mines knocked since 2500 miles and rattled since 24k but the dealer wouldn't fix it because they say the knock is just the hpfp and the rattle doesn't exist. So I'm just going to let it go until it fails and wipes out the engine. Guess that extended warranty will come in handy eventually. At 43k now.

I had to change mine at 250,000 miles. I was told it was because I only change my oil every 10,000 miles. I have put another 65,000 on since then.

250,000 miles!

Had you changed the oil every 5,000 miles it would have only gone 251,000 miles. Not all wear issues can be solved with motor oil. Motor oil can band-aid wear on high lift camshafts but the cure is a roller lifter. Too many have problems with the cam phasers at too few miles with the most exotic oils and frequent oil changes for motor oil to have anything to remedy a defective design.

2013 115,000 miles, owned since it had 56 miles on it. Vacuum pump change has been the only 'mechanical' thing I've had to do other than fluids on a regular basis.
