... then 2015+ should have IAT IAT1 IAT2 and IAT3 pids (versus 2011-2014).

Maybe ask Torrie @ Unleashed (post on his Forum) and he'll confirm or deny.

From a tuning perspective, the IAT in the manifold (with actual incoming heat from the engine) makes more sense than an lower temp IAT before a Throttle Body ... unless Ford now uses BOTH for tuning.
Grim, we do have 3 IAT sensors in the intake system. The one after the cac b4 the throttle body. See 2nd element on left column in pic. That's from forscan. And my scan tool shows it as well.

No sir, when I unplug the sensor b4 the throttle body, the CAC pid goes to like 500. The IAT above is what is know as IAT1, and IAT2 is just that. I will post up another screenshot playing with it.

PS. SCT has a lot of missing pids.

I think your CAC_T reading is Ambient. Do you have a separate Ambient IAT on your device?

PS: I won't go into details but I do create special/custom Configs all the time for the SCT device (that a lot of guys use them here). As long as there is a REAL sensor there, then I can get a reading off that PID. Example, there is an Oil Pressure and Oil Temp PID but there is no sensor that goes to the PCM ... there for I cannot read it. I can double check, but on SCT I have never seen a CAC_T PID.

The best way to test the validity of that CAC_T sensor (and reading) is to remove it and leave outside. The temp should go to Ambient Temp when removed. When returned, it should return to the proper temp.

Also, if you are reading Ambient/IAT, you can check the validity of the readings. No IAT reading can be less than outside Ambient Air temp after a few moments of operating (excluding using Meth Injection).

But I will check my Shop Manual when I have time to see what ALL sensors in the Intake are and where located.
Grim, I will set up and post up a screen shot including the ambient temp gauge. I have ambient temp display on my radio display just like you, so I don't clog up screen space with duplicate gauges.
But like I said, when I unplugged the CAC sensor (on the charge pipe), the reading on the pid went up close to 500, which is like unplugging the ect sensor, that goes to 40*C.
Ambient temp sensor is not the same as any of the 3 Intake Air Temp sensors.

This here from the Full Race FreakOboost project. Look toward the bottom of the page under Electronics heading.

(3) IAT sensors: Pre and Post intercooler, and Intake plenum (post TB) for precise temperature compensation.
(2) MAP sensors: Pre and Post throttle body for precise fuel delivery at exact differential pressures.
