I'm going to do a 3 inch lift on my 14 with adjustable coil overs uniball upper controls 3 inch block in the rear. Camburg or icons not sure which either

Just not sure who to go with Fox icon or kings I'm leaning towards fox. I spend quite a bit of time on lease roads so I want something to cruise right down those roads.

I don't want to do a lift kit because of the cutting involved. I'd much prefer this route. Stage 3's red fx4 is basically what im after just fox or icon or king

I also plan to get 35 inch tires when these ware out if that makes any difference.

i have fox 2.5's (raptor take-offs) and Icon uni-balls on a 4" rancho. The ride is amazing, and is soaks up some huge bumps.

I'm probably going full out mid-travel soon though.

The fox 2.0's and 2.5's have had issues with the lower ball joint (on the shock itself) becoming loose and making some noise. Nothing that could potentially break, but an annoyance none the less. Fox has reportedly fixed the issue, and will cover the issue under warranty if it happens to any of their shocks.

The OEM raptor parts are cheap and readily available, but dirt freeks makes a kit for around 2,500 (less shocks)

I personally don't care for lifts as i hate the high center, plus its not at all needed for a good suspension setup. an ICON suspension setup is going to feel different than a FOX setup, i can't speak on kings cause I've never owned them. Fox and Raptor OEM Shocks feel like pillows compared to ICONs on the road, which is expected given the type of pistons being used.

Everybody has thier preference on how they want their ride to feel and handle, it will probably be best to look into this more so than focusing on the name brand. I currently have the ICON Stage 4 setup and its the best money Ive spent on this truck to date. I can only compare it to my brothers Raptor as thats the only other suspension I can drive on whenever. Its defiantly a different feel on and off the road. ICONs handle better and you'll feel more in control, the OEM Fox's just fell plush comparitivly, but by no means out of control, it just sways more and is a bit more forgiving.

my 2cents.

I may lean towards fox then because I want to just float down these lease roads or dirt roads. I wish I could test a set. Hey stage 3 you need a 2014 to test parts on :D

Fox coilovers only level to 2". 35s will hit the lower bumper valance thingy (that's the technical name for it), even at the full 3" height, but trimming it down isn't a huge deal. You could also drop down to 34" tires.

After spending a good bit of time with that red truck, I definitely prefer the ICONs, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with the Fox systems.

We also had a 3" block in the rear of that thing, so keep that in mind.

I remember seeing the three inch block I was including that on this just didn't mention it. Would you recommend the block or add a leaf? I'm going to be towing a camper with it.

I'm trying to justify the cost of the icons over the fox is basically what this thread is coming to. I have 275/70/18 on it with a 1.5 inch level.

The only difference on the 2014's is the Lower control arms is it not? These trucks have had fundamentally the same suspension for 10 years.

Here's the two kits
2009-2013 F150 4WD Camburg Performance 2.5 Suspension Kit CAM-110107

Or

2014 F150 4WD ICON 0-3" Lift Kit - Stage 2 K93062

Or

piecing together a fox 2.0 icon uca and aal which comes out to be almost 1k cheaper 1700 ish

The last may be the way to go because of it being a 2014

You'll absolutely save money, and if you're okay with not getting a full 3" of front lift, then Fox 2.0s and an add-a-leaf are probably the way to go.

Same here I know a red fx4 with a stage 2 setup that may help. they even make YouTube videos. Even though he ignored my testing of parts request :)
We wouldn't be in business long if we gave out high-priced suspension kits all willy-nilly.

I wish someone would actually make some detailed videos of the icon kit in action.
There is a pretty decent install video by a shop....

But, out, I want to see them in action.
The red 5.0L has an ICON Stage 2 Kit.

There's a decent amount of video of that truck on our YouTube page, but those two are the ones that showcase the suspension the best.
