How much do you guys idle your trucks? Its fairly cold were I live (-20C quite a bit) so my truck idles a lot. I use remote start 10 mins at least before I go out (think make is 15 mins then it shuts off).

Does the computer account for this time for oil changes? or does it just go by mileage? I know my hemi use to include this time since my truck use to always show for a change every 3000-5000km.

Not much idle time used here. I would opt to use the coolant heater or block heater if equipped. Likely cheaper than eating gas. Yes the oil life monitor algorithm accounts for idle time and your driving characteristics in addition to mileage.

Block heater only heats truck so much add to that lot of times parked in places with no access to place to plugin the heater
