No way!If I had to guess, they pretty much neutered the variable oil pump. As SUPPOSEDLY that’s been one of the big factors to the rattle.
While I always despised the ~25ish psi of the low setting, (on 5-30W), the ~65psi was pretty high for just idling or cruising no load. So if the rumor is true, they simply defeated the 12V signal from the pcm? (12V to the pump is low pressure setting)
After all that engineering and complexity to worship at the fuel efficiency alter, Ford just turns it all off? Amazing
