Question - when my key is in the ignition (not on, just key-in) there's some play in the key and that changes whether the mileage shows on the dash or not. On another vehicle I had an ignition key cylinder "go bad" and the guy said it was probably someone with too many keys on the key chain and eventually it'll short out the switch. I know mine was a fleet vehicle at some point in my life so I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing is happening here. Also starting to get some electrical gremlins that might be related, and there was a code for an ignition switch which the forum told me to ignore.

So, if I'm getting OCD about this wiggly key - what is the name of the part I need to replace?
The cylinder doesn't have any electrical contacts, so I didn't think that was it. But the "switch" that comes up in parts is only distantly connected to the key. So I'm at a loss.
