If it's around the same price and no obvious problems then that will be a no brainer there.

The platinums resale value will be a lot higher and stay higher than the xlt.

I guess right now they might be pretty close in resale value since the 14 is only 2 years old but I would think after a few years as long as milage was similar the 12 platinum would be considerably higher.

I would rather drive platinum and enjoy all them comforts, my opinion. Either way they both have there pluses the xlt might be the better route if you are going to mod it (lift, tires, outer appearance stuff etc.)
