Alright guys, I just ran a 1/4 mile in 12.81 and a 0-60 in 4.59 seconds. I am so amazed, I don’t know what to say.

Was this after moving the swirlers down closer to the turbos ?
This was after I put the swirlers in yes. I will try a 1/4 mile time again without them to see.

It’s true. Those “swirlers” are indeed designed to swirl the air in the direction of the compressor. Resulting in improved inlet efficiency (higher mass flow rate) with an added benefit of reduced noise.

They were removed from later models due to the improved turbo designs. Specifically the blades.
For sure, but my 19 has them.. I removed them when I installed my COBB and AMS Inlet tubes..... Based on BoostkingMatts post I put them back in today, even know I should have the redesigned turbos....... Going to log a hit right now and then send the log to BoostKing to compare to last weeks log..... Then load my latest's revision, commute tomorrw and make a new hit tomorrow night.

I know for a fact that MY19+ Raptors have the improved compressor design. I do not know the exact build date on the F-150s…

Haha, well here’s the data.

At the hub, 513hp and 455ftlbs of torque.
The second pull was like 466hp, but the engine was getting hot so we cooled it down and it did another run with 508.

duuuuuudeeeeee....

That is a wicked result, looks like just the right amount to safely go and buy milk and bread with

Amazing result!

Every time I consider this idea of getting a new truck my brain just about explodes. I’ve spent so much money on this truck, I just don’t know if I can afford to do that a second time.
Just be careful not to fall into the sunk cost trap otherwise you could end up missing a really great opportunity because of money you will never get back anyway.

Cars are a bit like a casino, we all know the house always wins so just enjoy the ride while your on it :ROFLMAO:

I researched, I pulled the numbers off my turbos and they are the new design. So i removed the swirls as I am sure they got installed most likely for sound for the 19 and probably left over stock........ Either way, they probably help with direction of the air flow but are a slight restriction...... And obviously not needed in my application given I have the updated com pressor design....

What's the updates on the tunes from your tuners in relations to the truck?

Ah, I’ve got two tunes awaiting me, but I’m in Moab right now, rock climbing and doing all kinds of stuff so I haven’t tried them yet. I’ll write something up once Boostkings tunes are finished.

Well, just got back from my Moab trip! Was one heck of an awesome time. I’m definitely going back, and I want climbing gear now.

In case y’all haven’t heard, I’m going to move to Denver in mid November this year.

I drove past Bandimere Dragway today, and it looks like an awesome place. Definitely want to go there from time to time, and I’m sure @Upshifter would like to come.

I am going to be switching to an Ethanol blend, either e30 or e50, whatever is safe without needing a booster pump. It’s about 2000’ lower than where I live now, so I will get more power for sure and need some adjustment to my tunes. Can’t wait to break some hearts at the drag strip!
