I'm certainly curious what these $2200 downpipes are worth performancewise.

I'm closely watching your turbo swap results.
Me too dude. I’ve seen GooseTuned use one set and the truck went from being “capped (limited) at 545whp on e85 with stage 4 turbos” to 630whp on e85 with stage 4 turbos after the downpipe was added. Theres still restriction he said because if they add more boost past the 630whp range it loses power. So there’s major restrictions in the downpipes and exhaust, but in reality the biggest restriction is exhaust manifolds, and the biggest being the exhaust turbine and turbine housing on the turbos, even the stage 4s are quite limited. This 3.5 platform is a whole other animal than I’m used to with the 2.7. On the 2.7, the stock frame turbos are totally fine with upgraded turbine and compressor wheels. But the 3.5, it just needs to breath a whole lot more.

Not breath, I think you meant to say hair dryers.... LOl

I’ve just been so busy working and doing stuff, a lot of off-roading on quads in the mountains before it starts snowing. Gonna do some camping this month and gonna be taking my journeyman test for my electrical license. Loading a v11 tune as we speak and gonna test that. Brett worked some magic hopefully so we will see!

Good luck getting your J card! Fingers crossed for the test and for good tunes.

I drove my moms truck several hours yesterday and it’s amazing just how much more powerful my 2022 feels compared to her 2015 3.5

Good luck! Camping has been a favorite way for me to relax also. Tent/ EV? Whichevers method have a great time, KM

Study hard for your journeyman’s. Don’t go into it unprepared. Best thing I ever did was get both of mine!

That's all awesome stuff to be busy with!
I remember I stressed myself out leading up to taking my General Contractor's license but everything went well.

good luck on the test!

Still having a hard time with the tuning. Trying to figure out how to increase boost and airflow.
Bro, I thought that is what those big turbos were for,,, I get it..

yup I love my Kawasaki KFH 700!!!!! Good to have stress releasing and no worries, you will pass. you got this

Thanks guys for the support! Nice thing is, if I don’t pass I can take it again easily.
Is it like ours that they limit retries and make you go back to relearn if you fail?

After a bit I think so but I can retake it as many times as I want. Just have to keep paying money.

There she is! Shining beautifully. Did Stony Mountain Pass in Creede Colorado with the ATVs recently. Also found some pyrite near a gold mine clinging to some quarts. I did some panning near my house earlier today as well. Anyone know anything about panning or gold prospecting?

All I know about gold panning is that the pans make great camp dishware. KM

I'm quite familiar with gold panning and sluicing. I have probably spent 500 (or more) hours to get a total of 2 ounces of gold that I have found over my lifetime. I got most of my gold 10-25 years ago on the south umpqua river in Oregon, but I have prospected in many other places.

I know very little about hard rock gold mining.

That’s awesome. I just want to find a little piece at least one time. In Colorado I think there’s rules about needing a mining claim or something to do panning and I think you can’t use metal detectors in the National Forest? I’m not positive but I think I heard that.
