Nice.

I had an encounter with a roush f150 last night at a stoplight and he clearly wanted to race, but it was at a very unsuitable place. I have more self control these days after totalling my tt supra at an unsuitable (to race) stoplight about 20 years ago.

Yup, the other day similar situation with a newer f150 coyote, had to just let him speed away..... too much traffic

Nice, on 91 octane too,,,,,, how did the logs look?

That is a respectful time with your elevation,,,,,, not many trucks at that elevation will be able to touch you on the streets,,,,,, respect!

Turbobay is hard at work on these bad boys.
Compressor is 46.5mm inducer, and 56 exducer, with a 61mm extended tip. CRP Stage 4 is 46mm/56mm, so, very similar on the compressor but it has a much bigger extended tip. To my knowledge this is the first ever custom set of turbos for the Gen 3 3.5 Ecoboost.

Turbine will be their fancy 10 blade, at 45/50mm size just like CRP’s Stage 5 options, but instead CRP’s is an 8 blade, and looks similar to the Garrett powermax turbine and the stock turbine as far as design goes. This 10 blade turbine from Turbobay is state of the art. It is fast spooling due to the 10 blades, yet just like a compressor wheel has 5 tall blades and 5 short ones, allowing a ton of exhaust flow, much more than a 9 blade or 8 blade of the standard design where all blades are the same height.

FYI, this is not an f150 turbo on the bottom photo, but it’s the turbine design that my turbos from them will be.

Nothing right now… I did order a big box of stuff from ford for the turbo swap. Hopefully those will be here next week but we’ll see.

Alright guys, here’s the latest. I fooled around with the dang air dam last night. I wanted to unplug it and plug it back in to maybe “reset” the dern thing. Well, 1.5 hours later I finished. What a royal pain in the butt. Haven’t tested it to see if it works yet.

Also, the battery issue is still there. I need to either order one, or pick one up from a dealership.

Turbos from Turbobay are about to be shipped I think, I got a notification that he made a label!

You know, it wasn’t that I’m searching for more power, I’m happy with where it’s at, it was the idea that we can make that power more safely with less back pressure with that larger turbine, and while also supporting Turbobay, since they seriously helped me out on this. Also, doing something no one has done seems to be my theme. I think this is the first set of custom turbos on a Gen 3

Alright! Good news. Got a new battery from ford. I asked for an H8 but all he said it showed available to fit in my truck was an H6 or H7 so I got an H7 battery. It was like 226$ so not too bad on price. They put it in for me and I had the tech look at my vin and test the old battery and it said it was at 43% so yeah, it was barely working. It had caused a ton of codes and data to pop up like every single day. Also the Active Air Dam code is gone so I’m assuming it works now. Dang battery!!

Active Air Dam message is back but everything else is normal.
Had that message pop up a couple of times with the 2022 loaner I had back in October, but it looked like the active air dam was missing, just like the auto stop/start button.
