So guys, i love my truck and how it looks, but it’s time to make it more my own.

I’m going to get the oem gloss black Lariat sport grille, and gloss black fender vents. Next will be tail lights, third brake light etc. basically creating the black appearance package

Does anyone know how I could find the black appearance package headlights and taillights? The BAP headlights have black bezels in them as opposed to mine which have chrome ones, even though mine are otherwise almost the same.

A spray can of yellow paint and Matt painted on the driver's door would let everyone know it's your own. Can of spray paint $7, all those parts lots of $$$. ;)

Yeah I know, but I’m not the greatest painter. I might paint the fender vents, but I’m not gonna pull the headlights apart and paint those chrome bezels. The grille too, I will not paint that. It’s not worth the time and effort even though I agree with you.

I would find a truck that has what you want on it and get the vin then inquire that way.

You're not going to like the price on those headlights and tail lights! Probably going to run around 4k for all 4 corners. You should be able to recoup some of the cost by selling your old ones though. The BAP badges look real nice as well. You'll need to do a camera alignment with FDRS and a mongoose if you want your 360 cameras to work right after replacing the grill. Or a Ford dealer. I don't believe that alignment can be done with Forscan.

I already figured most of it out lol. And Gord0 is right, oem BAP headlights are 1090$ a piece. I want oem but I actually am tempted by VLAND units like I had on my 2.7, except I’d get them customized by Precision Retrofits. As far as the grille goes, I already have my eye on the BAP grille, and I’m thinking of painting my own fender vents gloss black.

BAP is Black Appearance Package that Ford offers on the new trucks. For the old farts like me that was wondering what BAP headlights and BAP grill was. In my time it was you wanted to black out your truck because you didn’t like chrome. It only took a can of black spray paint. I BAPed my truck 6 years ago. I feel younger just saying it that way. Not complaining just having a little fun with the way things are referred to these days. Also I didn’t really use spray paint, I bought my parts in black from the factory. But a lot of people did rattle can parts.

For the same headlight, Can't you send yours out to be customized?

Got this installed. I thought I had enough fluid, I had 2.3 quarts, but it wasn’t pouring out of the hole… Ford’s sheet says it calls for 4.6 pints which is 2.3 quarts. Am I screwed now?

Mine took 4 quarts. Yeah, you need two more bottles.

Very nice, but you didn't clean and paint the axle.

Haha, lol
Well I have to take this cover off because it’s leaking now. Also when I drained it, only 2 quarts came out. I filled it back up with 2.3 quarts and it didn’t hit the overflow cap so idk.

Underfill from the factory isn't unheard of. The new cover might allow more fluid, but you're close enough to make it somewhere. I wouldn't use a gasket, just some RTV.

Oh man. I wish everything used a gasket. I never had luck with RTV. I’m hoping I never have to attempt a timing chain on my truck. It will be a total disaster.
I agree. Interestingly enough, i cleaned up the oem gasket and stock cover and put those back on. I put 2.5 quarts approximately back in, and I used some of the old fluid and the new fluid I had initially put in. So yeah, when I drained it, it was a bit low. I ordered three new bottles so I will put all new fluid in when that comes.
