Was the black truck Canadian?
No it was from Missouri. Carmax told me that due to some Colorado title restrictions they had to get a new title for it.

Here’s a picture of the truck I’m going to test drive Monday.

I have a question for you guys. Does anyone know what the button with the + - cord symbol is next to the tailgate 2x button?

Not sure what that one is. Mine doesn't have it. It might be part of pro power onboard? It looks like a pretty fully optioned XLT. It's got 360 cams, no park assist, no blue cruise.
Maybe so? It’s not a power boost… would it still have that if it wasn’t? Yeah it’s got 302A high package with FX4 package as well

I think its to turn the power on to the bed outlet. It has a 400w outlet in the bed since it's not a powerboost. Mine may have that button, just haven't really noticed it. I saw all the listing pictures. It's receiving OTA updates, so that's a good thing!

The Powerboost comes in two generator flavors.
2.4KW
7.2KW

Unique though since it doesn't require the truck to be running (ICE) since it isn't relying on an alternator or dual alternator to power the inverter.

Also note that for either the 2.4KW or 7.2KW, the inverter is external from the cab and is water cooled. It's also considered a fairly high quality inverter when considering the quality and stability of the current it provides.

But yeah, there's also a 2KW ProPower and it is on the complete other end of the spectrum. It appears Ford really cheaped out on the inverter, and it's inside the cab and noisy, as well as it requires dual alternators and the ICE running.
It would still be worth it for the price if it just had a good quality 2KW inverter. But there's plenty of complaints about it disappointing fellas enough that they abandon trying to use it and just build or purchase something else to meet their requirements.

Keep in mind that Ford could have made changes at some point recently and perhaps the 2023.5 or 2024 has addressed the shortcomings. But I wouldn't bank on it.

And honestly, I have no clue why anyone who chose the Powerboost for its high quality generator would opt for the 2.4KW version. It's only $750 for the 7.2KW 240V generator.
And it has a 30 gallon gas tank.
A tea sipper as well.

Yeah, but my question was, does this red truck I showed have a generator? It’s not a powerboost

It does if the sticker shows the ProPower 2KW option.
But as stated, requires the engine to be running, and has a troublesome inverter that's integrated with Sync4. So nobody has figured out how to replace the inverter with a good one.

It appears the red truck you're looking at has the pro power 2kw option. It's a different bed outlet than my non 2kw pro power truck. I also do not have the button that truck has to turn it on.

Very nice! Now, about that bug deflector... :ROFLMAO:
I hate the bug deflectors… I think I’ll take it off. We’ll see.
Tomorrow it should be warmer, I may try and swap my intercooler over. And I’m going to see if my JLT intake fits. Also gonna swap antennas. I hate the long antenna. I like the stubby.

Congrats buddy, hope it’s everything you hoped for!
