A tire’s wear rating is only relative to it’s own product line, the higher the number the better of product within that manufacturers product line. There is no direct correlation on tire wear ratings from one manufacturer to another. A rating of 500 may be a 50,000 mile warranty from one manufaurer and a 60,000 mile warranty from another. That said, the LTX is up there.
I am considering these tires as well. I have the need to change from a Pirelli P rated tire, because I haul an 8000 pound camper, and those tires are really 'squirmy' with a load, and allow significant sway. Not really dangerous sway, but I want a much more stable ride when towing.
I have a 2013 XLT Ecoboost with stock rims and a 2.5" leveling kit on the front. Was curious if anyone has put 305/70/18's on their stock rims before and if they had any issues with them being too big. I am looking to fill up the wheel well a little more then the 285/65/18s i have on them right now.
I’m looking to step up from a stock size, currently 31-32” to a larger tire either 33”-34.5”. I know there will be a difference but has anyone whose done the step up noticed enough of a loss to make it not worth it? Rear end is a 3.31 in a 2013 truck.
