just recently had blower motor and compressor clutch replaced. Now intermittently under the passenger dash near the blower motor about every 15 seconds i get a clunk sound. It can be felt is i keep my hand on blower motor. Everything seems to be functioning fine besides when i put heat to floor it also comes out of defrost vents.. which i thinks its been doing for a while ..

whats going on do you think ??

Blend door mechanism failing to settle? Keeps trying to find intended setting?

Something is binding or inhibiting the flap's travel, I'm guessing.

Blend door actuator sounds buggered like the others are saying. If you shut the HVAC controls off does it go away?

Yea it stops... its not constant when on only

I do agree, blend door.

Its chilly still at night at 3 am when im on call .. still 48 to 52 degrees

Dealer well two different dealers .. didn't gear it untill ac compressor was replaced two separate visits .. blower motor was replaced first.. but just wondering how ac compressor could cause blend door to be off since they dont seem like they are connected

Compressor wouldn't. I haven't replaced a fan in the F150 but if it comes out from under the dash like many do, they could have botched it.

Maybe unplug the fan and run everything else and see if it’s still there. Could be some debris in the fan area also….

yea still makes the noise every 15 seconds or so with blower motor unplugged got to be a blend door of some sort just recirculating from being stuck
