One last word being that I’ve seen a lot of turbo failures latently. If using the melling pumps that are high volume please change the spring to the 85-87 psi spring. We don’t recommend 100+ psi bypass spring. Turbo failures and now we cannot be certain, however it would appear people running 100+ psi pump seem to let the center section of turbos go. Pretty quickly too. Just feed back I’ve gotten recently
I'm surprised that Melling ships the pump with the higher pressure spring installed, rather than the oem pressure spring.
It would just make more sense for their instructions to have you swap the spring ONLY if you want the elevated pressure.
Isn't it really the increased Volume that their pump provides, the real benefit you get from the pump? (especially for oem motor)

Well said and I could not agree more with you. Especially if using ball bearing turbos, that pressure would do some quick damage to that type of center section. Great observation.

I totally gave up on speech to text. Hence my lack of posts as frequent as normal. With all that’s happening with moving and such, speech to text is horrible and I think it’s background noice picking up the machines in the shop. Or my Apple Watch just stinks, yup tried that too. Sometimes I’m forced to type fast like now as it’s little man’s B-Day
Take some pictures of the back of the engine - so we know what it looks like when we’re not upside down and looking with an inspection mirror and flashlight…
What the damage looks like when you break your half shaft driving 57 mph straight on the highway cruising home after a long days work. Not only the massive dollar amount of damage but it throws the truck to the side that broke. I’m my case passenger side into a car then I was thrown into a 20 foot concrete barricade. Very dangerous as it rips your front brake lines off. This is my 2014 shop truck. Time to get the tenor moving again at the new shop while I work on another project.
That’s the lower co tell arm on the pavement or asphalt. This should be a fun fix. [emoji90]
