So it only makes this random metallic tinging/tap/clicking sound while idling in park, any other time the sound is not there.
It seems to be coming from either the oil pan or transmission area...................
Anyone have any idea's before I deal with the dealership...again

So what ever, not even going to worry about it

To me it sounds like a warped or leaking exhaust manifold?

You got me man, hopefully they didn't put warped exhaust manifolds back on my new engine.......nothing would surprise me though

Maybe they just need to re-torque them?
I mean that thing should sound like a sewing machine, not a diesel-lol
Seriously though, those "Gump" service techs need to......ohh wait>time to lean time to clean (get off their lazy as*es) and get turning a wrench on that bad boy!

For the most part it dose sound like a sewing machine, just that random sound and only when idling in Park, it doesn't happen all the time either.

Got me, I was wondering if it just may have some weird noises until broken in? This is what it sounds like 99% of the time, of course also when I just took it to the dealership.

haha, yup!
Actually I just need to shut it off as soon as I park, that's the only time it sometimes makes the sound...in park.

The high pitch pinging doesn't sound good. Definitely metal hitting metal.

I remember the thread last year and now this video, my truck sounds the same at idle. It just sounds like valve train or something. It is fine.

It's not the same video.

The video of the one last year there was also definitely an abnormal sound, then the engine had to be replaced, now this new engine has two different sounds, one sounds like something bouncing around when i bring the RPM's up to 1k but only while in park and the other is a muffled grinding sound for a few seconds after starting up. (it dose not sound like timing chain though)
