I like the tubes-really look nice. and the engine cover!! One of those is definitely on my list.

Sounds like you have a diagnosable case of boost-addiction.
Diagnosis is easy. The cure for my addiction is far from reach and will likely take an intervention, a few 12 step programs and a lockdown ward.

The root of my issue is my sleeper Audi TTS 2.0L 4 banger, running 29 lbs of boost and pushing some serious ponies at over 500 hp and weighs in at around 3065 lbs.
I don't run it on race fuel all the time and keep it at a tame 385 unless on the track. Luckily the wife loves it!

Just curious since I'm a new ecoboost owner. What are the pros and cons with a single filter compared to a dual filter.

Apparently the single filter is the new improved version.




aFe Power has upped it to another level with their new 2012 - 2014 Ford F-150 3.5l Ecoboost air intake system. In the never ending pursuit of performance, this is aFe Powers THIRD intake design for the Ecoboost turbo engine. This new design features a revised inlet tube feeding into one massive air filter instead of the older two filter design. The new design is easier to install and come in Polished or Wrinkle Black finishes. Not only that, aFe has slashed the price as compared to the original systems.






For 2012 to 2014 F150 EcoBoosts only:
This kit will only fit 2012 to 2014 F150 EcoBoost F150s due to Ford's revised MAP sensor design.





From aFe Power:
This Stage 2 air Intake system produces an impressive 25 horsepower and 30 lbs. x ft. torque! This system uses a massive 5-1/2" washable/reusable air filter which connects to a durable 16-gauge heat shield that mounts quickly to the factory airbox increasing airflow over the stock air intake system. A 3-angle filter adapter increases air velocity after the air filter for improved performance and throttle response. The heat-insulating, black powder-coated intake tube uses a split tube design that allows the twin turbos to equally share the increased air flow using a mitered transition. This design decreases turbulence and increases velocity, resulting in increased horsepower and torque.


Manifold Air Pressure Sensor:
In 2012 Ford began using a different style Manifold Air Pressure (MAP) sensor. This intake is designed specifically to be used with the factory MAP sensor.


5-1/2” Conical Filter with Inverted Top:
This intake utilizes a huge 5-1/2" oval conical Pro 5R performance air filter with inverted top for maximum flow. This 5-layer progressive, oiled cotton gauze air filter provides maximum flow for increased horsepower and torque.

Top Mounted Heat Shield Design:
aFe developed this heat shield to snap onto the top of the lower half of the factory air box to provide a hassle-free installation utilizing factory mounting locations.


3-Angle Adapter:
The 3-angle adapter is used to speed up the air flow after the air filter for improved performance and throttle response.

In stage 3's post about this they said the only reason it was built is because some people don't like how the dual tube looks.

Hey folks,
I was reading the difference in horse power on the AFE intake, the two filter produces aFe's Stage 2 air intake system produces an astonishing 32 horsepower and 35lbs. x ft. torque and outflows the factory intake by 44%! vs: the other intake only produces This Stage 2 air Intake system produces an impressive 25 horsepower and 30 lbs. x ft. torque!
I guess the first model was a little hard installing or people did not like the look. Myself I will go for the power...
