Just a heads up.. SYNC Gen2 - V3.6.2 was released and available at Get Support and Manage Your SYNC Account | Syncmyride.com this morning for me (2013 F-150, SYNC with My Ford Touch and Navigation)

I installed the update.. It takes about 30 minutes to install. They still haven't fixed the DST bug when resetting time to GPS, but it does seem snappier, and they made some improvements. For example, you no longer need to press the corners on the home screen to access that function - you can just press the quadrant. Release notes are below:

-----
DA5T-14D544-BD

The latest SYNC® update includes all of the improvements from previous updates, plus additional benefits, such as:
Information display on the homescreen for HD, Sirius (if equipped), and FM radio sources
Simplified graphics and improved usability
Enhanced voice destination entry for SD Card Navigation (if equipped)
Improved Navigation vehicle positioning (if equipped)
Rear view camera guidelines set to ON by default (if equipped)
Updated SYNC/device compatibility information

The installation of this update will take up to 30 minutes to complete. Be sure to keep your engine running, not in accessory mode, throughout the entire installation process. Turning off your vehicle during the update installation will disrupt the process. Although your vehicle must be in park when you begin the installation process, you may drive your vehicle while the update is downloading to your SYNC system. If your vehicle is equipped with the Intelligent Access with Push Button Start feature, you will need to temporarily disable the Automatic Engine Idle Shutdown (AEIS) component before beginning the installation in order to prevent your vehicle from timing out and shutting off the engine before the software update is complete. To disable this feature, use your steering wheel controls to navigate to the Settings menu on your left-hand Instrument Cluster LCD display. From there, select Vehicle >Auto Engine Off >Off. (If you do not see this setting, there is no need to make any changes before starting the update.) Alternatively, after initiating the installation, you may drive the vehicle during the update process to avoid the engine shutting off. The AEIS will automatically reset to "On" the next time you start your vehicle.

Please note: During the update installation, SYNC will temporarily appear to not recognize your mobile phone or media device. This is normal.
When your system has been successfully updated, SYNC will display a notification saying, "Installation complete."

The total size of the files was 556 MB, so at least a 1 GB.

I have SYNC with MyFordTouch (The 8" screen). I believe this update is only for MFT.

I just posted my first thread and it was about the upgrade. I have a 2013 and was having difficulty upgrading. I was able to download the upgrade and unzip if before adding it to a thumb drive. Where do you plug the thumb drive into the truck. i have the dual usb ports in the center console but it did nothing.....errrr

Use the USB port closest (that's the only one that would work in mine) to the front of the truck. Make sure that there is nothing in the other port and that the truck is running. It will probably work best if there is no other information on the stick. Try it with the file still zipped. The update should start on it's own and should take about 30 minutes. The screen will go dark several times over the update and you will have no radio. It will tell you when it is done and will require some interaction with you. Remove the stick and confirm the update on syncmyride.com when you are done.
