Just purchased my first 2013 Ecoboost. It is an XLT Plus with tow package with 3:15 gears. Kinda worried about it after reading some of the complaints. I only have 300 miles on it, but so far it is amazing and so is the gas mileage. Also, have a 2012 Expedition Limited for my wife. We love it so much she let me buy the truck. Lol. She's definitely a Ford girl!!

I'm new to the forum as well and have seen a lot of complaints, but keep in mind that people usually don't write when things are right. After reading all of the complaints on multiple forums, it would have made me steer clear of the Ecoboost, but I am loving mine and have 14,000 miles on it now.

New here too, and from Baton Rouge! Loving the Ecoboost too, no problems(knock on wood), but the again, we got it the day before Thanksgiving 2012 and it doesn't have 3k mi. Definitely better than the 06 Navigator we had before!

Welcome Guys! I agree that most never post the good stuff. But like the rest I have put the EcoBoost thru paces from towing 11,000lbs at -60f (Not including wind chill) to heavy payload (2,000lbs) runs up and over the mountain passes. No issues and the more the miles (25,000miles) add on the better things get! Keep us posted on how things are going!

How do you like the 33's on it? Noticed a loss in power or big loss in fuel mileage?

The ride and additional traction is the only thing that has really changed. Overall better handling with the heavier loads and a little more stiff when empty. MPG didn't really change as I was expecting to see a mile or two loss.

Just bought a 2013 Ford F-150 CC, with ecoboost with 3:55 gears. I was a Chevy guy forever. Traded in my 2011 Silverado EXT.cab with a 5.3L. So far am loving my new Ford!!!! It has way more power and actually rides better than my Chevrolet. Very impressed so far!

Welcome Adambomb! How more difference do you notice in power is there between the EcoBoost n the 5.3l (unloaded n loaded)?

I haven't had a chance to do any towing with it yet. That 5.3L had a rough time getting up hills on a trip to NH with an empty, enclosed double-axle trailer. As far as the power, the ecoboost is WAY more powerful. Im loving this new Ford. My father is a Dodge guy and he was very impressed with the power. I couldn't get him to stop squealing the tires!
