Hi. I'm new to having an Ecoboost truck and turbos. My question is, when I floor the gas on my 2011 SCrew, with the window down on the passenger side it sounds like a weed eater throttling up in heavy grass. I called the dealership and they think it's just the waste gate. I have to stop by in the morning and take a service tech on a ride so they can listen to the sound. Is this a normal noise? Again I am new to having turbos so I don't know what to expect.
New to the F150 Ecoboost, possible waste gate noise.
