Just ordered some ngk ruthenium plugs for a 3.5 eco boost. Has anyone ran these and have y’all had any issues? I see they come pre-gapped at .32 but when I searched the topic I see people are taking them down to .28-.30. Thank y’all

I just ran across NGK's latest type of spark plug. They make a plug for the 3.5 ecoboost engines. Ruthenium is supposed to be a better conductor and harder material than platinum. Thoughts on these for longevity? Performance...
I've been running these for over a year. I like to narrow the gap to 0.025". My engine runs the smoothest with that gap. Also, plug gaps tend to widen over time.
I will be replacing them in the fall. I will let you know if I find anything out of the ordinary.
20K on Ruthies gapped at 35. No problems. Probly 10K of that with close to 8000#s of travel trailer and a motorcycle in the bed. I’ll pull them at 30,000 miles and have a look C.
If your running them with that gap and have no issues, I’m gonna keep them at .032”. I’ll install this weekend and let y’all know how she runs. I have 77k miles on original plugs so I’m sure I’m gonna see a small performance increase. Thank y’all
I think we all or mostly all would be interested in Your reporting back on the condition of the plugs. I have routinely replaced mine at 30,000 miles and found the gap on average went from 0.030 to 0.035.
that’s nothing compared to the transmission fluid change I’m fixing to do. All parts including filter was 175 bucks. But PM work is cheaper than mechanical failure
