I don't know of too many places nearby to camp like that. There is one nice primitive camping area I know of in the mountains where we've tent camped before. You basically rent out the meadow and there is a central water source and that's it. However, there are two streams to cross to get to it. I could probably drag the camper across, but I'd rather not take a chance. That would be a hefty tow bill. It's shallow, but they truck in large River Rock to line it with, and they just moosh out from under the tires.

Boondocking is the ultimate for mixing luxury/comfort (RV) and serenity (in the wild)

But I'm kind of a phony because if you get close enough, you'll find I'm cheating. Especially with hot showers and morning espresso.

Man you guys are killing me. I missed the whole summer season this year. I'm dieing to go hide from the world

I learned quickly that my water tank is far to small for boondocking more than 3 days or so with the 2 year old. And that is without showering. I think I have 30 gallons including the hot water tank.

The newer versions of my trailer have a 42 gallon tank so I have considered trying to swap it.

Yea, I should mention that although I have boondocked with family, they had their rig and I had mine, alone.

So 1 person, and being a guy, can stretch water a little longer.

Still, if you can go 3 days between tank maintenance, you're still having your cake and eating it too.

I thought I might have trouble with that too, you just solidified that fear. My fresh water spec is listed at 30 gallons also. No idea if that includes the water heater.

It probably doesn't include the 6 gallons of water that the water heater can hold, since the tank is independent.

Bringing additional fresh water is the EASY part to extending the boondock uninterrupted. But filling that Grey tank is a show stopper. Time to tow and dump and return.

When i looked up the specs on the trailer it randomly said 26 gal, 30 including the tank. The newer version just says 42 and doesmt specify

There are a lot of campgrounds I could stay at where I could technically boondock. But it seems silly to do so when there is a full hookup site nearby also. Lol

Same Combo in Grand Teton NP's Gros Ventre CG. The truck is mostly covered by the trailer. View attachment 164486
Gros Ventre is one of our favorites. Only place in Teton that allows dogs as far as I know.

Ive only had the trailer there once but we have tent camped and camped out of the truck quite a few times there.

Took our Royal Rangers outpost camping back in November. This was my first trip with the new tow mirrors. They worked great for towing. I'm still getting used to using them on an everyday basis, though. It's a little different than regular mirrors.

A lot different actually, and once you get used to them you'll have trouble going back. Just remember to aim the large mirror down the lane beside you (can't see truck without craning your neck) with just a bit of horizon visible. Convex I keep adjusted out as far as possible with just a bit of horizon.

Down at Wind Creek casino at Atmore Al. for a few days. First time I’ve driven the TT with tune. ( almost 700 miles😂) finally got the fault problem solved I think (changed to SCT Livewire TS) Running 91 per/tow V2 on 93 gas. What a difference !!!!!!!!! Hills are of no concern, well at least these ant hills down here LOL. Finally got her leveled. 39 1/2 on front and back and within 3/4” from front and back on TT at 35 lbs in air bags. I also lowered one bolt on hitch. Water Temp never went above 220 and xmsn 203, CAC 5-10 above air temp on highway. Also dropped by CAT scales 15780 total with 7780 on TT axles 🤦‍♂️

I've been hoping for that!
Grand Design in tow behind a mighty Ecoboost. Just requires a finely "tuned" motor, WDH, suspension, and driver. Lol

That's awesome! Monster haha. I'm a little shy of 6,000 lbs on the trailer axles. That's a lot of camper!
