I just called my local dealer (they know me pretty well given I've been in three times about the issue...). Anyway, they confirmed the TSB is legit. They placed my order for the replacement parts and will call me when they come in. There is no ETA in the system at this point. Hopefully they can move quickly...

It sounds like your dealership is on top of things, Jeepentj; be sure to come back and tell us when you're heading in for repair. How many miles are on your truck currently?

Will do. My truck has 8500 miles on it. Why do you ask?

Called my dealer and they had to order the parts. They said it's different motor and duct work.

Thanks for the quick reply, Jeepentj! I ask for truck details to determine which options are available to help. I'll escalate this to your regional customer service manager, if that's something you'd be interested in. To get the ball rolling, send me a PM with your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership. Leave the rest to me. :)

Thanks Crystal,

I appreciate you fighting for me but if I'm being honest, you seem to be the only one who is/has been. I provided you with my truck information a few months ago which resulted in a call from Kelly (my CSM). She took my information, told me to take the truck back in (for the 3rd time) and then told me she'd follow-up with next steps on the seat issue. I took my truck in at her request but she never called me back - even after I followed up with her. Also, my dealership knew nothing about the TSB - I am the one who drew their attention to it and asked them to order parts for me. So although I'm glad the issue appears to be drawing to a close, I feel like neither my CSM nor my dealership did much to help me.

FWIW, my case number is 7449838 if you'd like to read the notes.

Thanks,
David

I have been following this thread and noticed that my NEW F150 Lariat 4x4 has shown symptoms of this issue. I went to my local Ford Dealer with the TSB information, which they knew nothing about of course. I was told to drop it off at 0730 in the morning, first come, first serve so they could check it out. I laughed and found that a bit ridiculous for a new truck that has 800 miles on it and is only just 2 weeks old. I told them that I will not "drop it off" but, would like them to take care of it according to the TSB issued by Ford. The service manager explained their process and proceeded to tell me that they are not even sure they could order the parts. They never even looked at the TSB and acted like they knew nothing of it. The Sarcastic, condescending representative behind the service desk left a bad taste in my mouth so I left, never to return. There are 3 dealerships all within 40 miles from me. I should have purchased it at one of the others. Maybe I expect too much but when spending that much for a new vehicle, the dealership should go out of their way to make things right. At least for the first 30 days anyway. Then they could start treating you like everyone else. Again, maybe I expect too much for my 50K

I am a Quality Engineer at a large seating facility. I am interested in problem solving this issue! May just tear into mine this weekend to see what it looks like. Our Lexus seats have the cooling option as well.

Just got my truck last Friday and noticed this problem. 6/19/15 build date. I'm going to I inquire about the tsb as soon as someone has it done and reports back.
Any other TSB I should know about?
thankful forums like this are around. 15yrs ago this problem would never get fixed.

I have the exact same problem. 2015 Lariat.

Bottoms of the seats get nice and cool (60F), backs heat up to 90+F...both front seats. I checked it with an IR gun, even have a video. Taking it in tomorrow.

Hi David,

Thank you for letting me know. In the future, if you have any difficulty getting in touch with someone, just send a quick PM my way; I'll follow up with them and make sure that you're contacted. How is the repair proceeding at the dealer?

Hi spelasr,

Is there a different dealership that you'd prefer to work with? You can find some local options by entering your ZIP code here: Ford Dealers | Locate a Ford Dealer Near You | Ford.com I'll arrange for your regional customer service manager to contact you; they'll work with the dealer of your choice to ensure things progress. To make that happen, PM me your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and preferred servicing dealership. I'll do the rest.

Welcome to the forum, polyol. Any news from the dealership yet? How many miles are on your truck? I'll be happy to offer you the same assistance that I have to others on this thread.

^^^Yep, took it into the dealership. They diagnosed it quickly, ordered the parts in a few days, installed them in a few hours and now everything is working fine. Love my AC seats!

I didnt realize it but the seat fans should be making some noise. I can actually hear them now. They are not loud at all or a problem. Just saying for those that have this problem, if you hit the button and you dont hear a fan noise coming from the back of the seat...then you know the problem.

Well finally got mine into the dealer for the seats. They said mine will be the first one they have done. Hope they don't mess it up.
