I was wonder what were some of the pros/cons of removing the resonator? I called Ford and they said not to do it because of emissions. I haven't read anywhere about those concerns. Thanks for the help

Leave them on unless you want your truck to sound like a Honda civic.

It won't hurt anything to take them off. :)

Resonator has nothing to do with emissions, unless they consider noise a form of pollution...lol

The delete pipe with factory muffler sounds just fine.

My delete pipe has an electric cut out installed in it, so factory quiet when needed and obnoxious when wanted. :)

Emissions....thats crazy!! It is a sound reduction device only. As the posts above state, has zero effect on emissions. It is embarrassing to have answers like that come from the manufacturer or dealer. IMHO all that talk to the public should have at least some education on each vehicle and it's common components.

just put a 3" resonator on and that way you have the best of both?

I agree with 2Canches ... the resonator delete does not sound like some Honda Civic with a fart pipe. The unique firing order of the 3.5V6 (compared to other manufacturers V6) give it a unique sound. Actually more like a Triumph Rocket III, which I like.

ExoFx does have more experience in the sound of the 3.5 Ecoboost, because he's usually behind them when he races them with his Ram. ;)

So, unless you plan to add an aftermarket power-adder to the Ram, why are you not driving an Ecoboost?

(I'm sure 2Canches was dying to ask this question).

I'm over it. After the headache on my first one. I decided to try out the hemi. Just going to leave it stock and not worry about being the fastest.
