I think it sounds great. Wish I could hear it live.

I have gone with the super cheap mods.
AEM filter, $40 on Amazon.
Deleted the Resonator today for $55 at a local muffler shop. 2 cuts, straight pipe and 2 welds.
Still have the stock muffler.

Sounds the way I want it. A little more growl with more whistle.
Obvious difference with the windows down.
Now I know folks can hear the turbos spooling.
Good enough for me.

Might get a muffler in the future but I'm in no hurry.

Did you leave the flex pipe on?

Yes, he cut 2 inches from each side of the resonator and replaced it with straight pipe.
Other than that 18 inch section, it's stock.

so you still have a restrictive funnel.

Remove the flex pipe then report back [emoji33]

Yes a cutback would replace it.

It goes

Down pipes
Resonator
Flex pipe
Muffler

Have a look under your truck if weather conditions let you

So its not part of the catback or resonator pipe? Just a res delete or just a catback that doesn't have the resonator section won't replace it?
It would be replaced with a cat back system. I believe 2canches is just saying that it is beneficial to remove the flex pipe with the resonator.

Edit: lol, he beat me to it.

Its not built yet. I still have my raptor. Ecoboost coming in the spring(April)

I'm very hands on, I normally dont ask simple/dumb questions that i can figure out myself but I'm trying to get together a list of parts I want to start building up a mod pile for when the truck arrives. Without the truck being in my driveway its a challenge. I'll have my level kit for it this coming week. once I start demodding my current truck I'll start buying some more parts for the new one

No worries. Keep asking. We only try to help.

Thank you, OK so now I see that flex pipe is actually welded to the muffler. So any cat back system will get rid of it but just an off the shelf res delete won't. so a straight pipe would be needed to be welded on if the stock cat back is kept.

Wow, there really is a difference between the pipe in and out of the muffler.
