So we know what these trucks are rated at from the factory, however what kind of gas mileage have you been getting in the real world?

No need to replace coils unless they are bad. The OE Motorcraft coils seldom go bad.
I had already replace 2 coils and a third one was acting up. Seemed like they was taking turns, so I just figured do all of them at once.

There are enough millions of Ecoboosts on the road for a good number of coils to fail. Problem is determining a coil is in failure when it hasn’t totally failed.

Sadly this is one of those things it is easier and cheaper to replace when suspected than it is to diagnose.

Friend has a Coyote which quit performing the way it had. Plugs, coils, and injectors at 150,000 miles remedied. We don’t know which one or more was the problem.

I like the strategy. Always have.
Get me to 150,000 and I will reward the truck with fresh components in mass.

Plugs, coils, sensors, pcv, evap, vacuum lines, belts,..... The gamut. Lol
Especially if it gets a good report on compression.

Since changing out the air filter and recalibrating the TPS I picked up about 1mpg. Last three fill ups using 89 octane has been consistent.

Welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy your time here. Do you have a theory as to why your MPG increased by adding a new cold air intake system?
Milage on my 265k mile '13 has definitely declined over the last 3 years. When I got the truck it was completely stock and had some stock size highway tires on it and it got an average of 17.5 mpg in town, and I would tickle the 19 mpg mark sometimes on long highway trips at 65 mph.

First drop was when I did the initial transmission tuning. I bumped the shift points up a good bit so it held gears longer and downshifted quicker. It really made the truck more fun to drive, but it certainly had an impact on fuel milage, with city dropping to mid-15's and highway to mid-16s.

Last year I got a nail in 2 tires on the same day and went to some 31" BFG All-Terrains and did catless downpipes, in conjunction with some more aggressive tuning for more boost and an E30 blend. That took me to the 12 mpg range in town and 13.5 on the highway on E30, and 13.5 city and 14.2 on the highway on 91 octane.

I'm considering kicking the trans tuning back to essentially stock just to test and see if my mileage jumps back up close to what it was before I messed with stuff, but I am thinking I may have a couple broken manifold bolts that are letting some air in the exhaust stream, causing a little over-fueling.
