Return hassles

1021 Views 4 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  DNA Dan
I received a set of lug nuts from Carid 4 weeks ago and they are the wrong type of lug nuts as shown on their website. I requested an exchange or a refund and supplied them with pictures as they requested. When I call customer service they attempt to contact the supplier by phone but they never answer their phone or reply to the messages and the emails. Carid's position is I cannot get a credit or a refund until the supplier responds and sends a return mailing label. So if the supplier just continues to ignore their phone calls and emails that means I'm out $40 and have a set of lug nuts that I don't want? What the heck? I purchased the lug nuts from Carid so as far as I'm concerned they own this!! Just beware of purchasing from them as they are NOT customer friendly.

Crap ! Wish I had known this last night 🤬 I ordered a digital vac/boost gauge. I hope it's as advertised and a good one.
To agree with you. Carid should issue the refund or replace the item. Their problems with the supplier are theirs not yours.

@carid, please make this right.
Unfortunately this seems to be a growing business model. People just drop ship from the manufacturer and don't actually stock parts. They are just a business front for the transaction to occur. I bought some trailer tires and one came with bubble in the side wall. All I got from the seller is "here is the manufacturer's phone number, it's covered under their warranty for workmanship." Uh gee thanks? Whoever has the prettiest, easiest website with the best price gets the sale.
