So I'm going to try and give my professional opinion as I'm a professional of nothing. The Roush Gauge I installed is the mechanical LED one that goes black when turned off.
Firstly I have a 2014 XLT with no 4x4 and I do have the trailer brake thing.
Hooking it up super easy, however there was no power to be found behind the coin holder, "wires no power though" So I went to the next best thing the passenger side kick panel and did an add a fuse, worked great however I plugged into fuse 29 but that leaves it on all the time, fuse #29 is power to radio. So I went to fuse 37 which is the trailer brake one and works great.
Now I do have the SCT livewire hooked up also. The problem I see since this is mechanical is that it moves so fast and saves no data to see what max boost you hit. And if your looking at the boost gauge and driving your probably going to find the guardrail.
At idea I show 16 in Vac but on SCT I show 7.86, however when both pass zero they seem to be spot on.
All in all it is a nice feature if you don't have anything else and super easy to install, but you might want to save your money and get a SCT or likewise so you can see it easier and it will tell you max PSI and VAC.
That's it for now.
