I totally forgot about this thread. Old one the last day I had it, with a red sterling to boot...

Forgot about this thread.
This August I'll be buying a new truck and while I never could stand red vehicles I really like this Ruby Red, I'm just wondering if I'll like it after 6 years still.

My last 3 trucks have been white so I'd like something different but magnetic and Ruby Red are the only two other colors I like.

Hmm

2018 XLT FX4 2.7 Supercab…first pic shows 18x8 Navigator wheels that had the chrome stripped off and powdercoated, with Mastercraft Courser tires, "leveled" the truck by removing the rear lift blocks...second pic shows the STX grill with LEDs, aftermarket intercooler with the shutter blades in front of it removed and relocated front license plate...third pic shows the Dual Liner 5-piece bedliner kit...fourth pic shows cross-drilled rotors with MGP caliper covers...truck has other things as well: 93 octane tune, Flowmaster FX muffler, VTA mod, etc. My first full-size truck, lovin' it!

Did you drill those leds yourself in the STX grill? D you have a part number for the grill?

New to me, 2015 XLT Sport. Had it about a month now, since buying got a tonneau cover, spray in liner, weather techs, and just ordered the 3” MBRP catback. Loving the truck so far! Next up on mods is tune and catch can, not sure if I’ll do more than that. Maybe a level and wheels we shall see.

Just got this 2015 XLT 2.7L 4x4 Super Crew on 5 Feb 2019. Traded in a 2010 Santa Fe. Don't like buying at this time of the year but couldn't pass up this beautiful Ruby Red truck! This is the only pic I have so far due to snow and road salt. It's the day I bought it and celebrating at a local brewpub. Blizzard conditions today, we are awaiting Spring - sometime in July. LOL

Lol.

I do have a few trucks. But this new Ruby Red ain't mine. It's "hers".

Her = a she that I knew 40 something years ago. SHE has been tolerating my tomfoolery for a few months and she is smitten with my truck. (not so much with me?)

Anyways, at 60 she is getting her very first truck and it's going to be a really nice package. Her family blames me, of course. They're city folk and don't know what's happening to her.

You asked 2.7?

I wanted her to get the 2.7 and almost succeeded. But last second she spotted the Ruby Red and there was no talking her out of it.

3.5, 3.55, 302A, Bliss....... about $3500 more truck than I was steering her to.

But she's a girl. Color overrides everything.

Yep! My older sister used to root for NFL teams based on how "pretty their uniforms were".......regardless of how good or bad said teams record was. LOL
