Run truck with no O2 sensors connected?

Hey People. Thanks for the add. Trying to figure out which turbo is blowing all the smoke. I have dropped the Y pipe which has all 4 O2 sensors in it. Can I run the engine with no sensors to see which turbo is causing the problem. I thought it was the drivers side because of wet joints in the exhaust on that side. I changed that turbo, coolant lines and connectors, and oil supply line and filter. I also cleaned intercooler, throttle body and all tubes. I put it all back together and it still smokes, but not nearly as bad. Don't want to change passenger side if both are smoking. Thanks for input!

I don’t think it would be a good idea as they are heavily involved in keeping the engine at the proper AFR. These engines are speed density tuned, meaning they don’t use a mass air flow sensor to determine the air mass coming in.

If anything, separate the Y pipe that connects the down pipes to the exhaust system after the O2’s

Thanks for your response. Have this set up and not sure how to isolate turbos after o2 sensors. New turbo on drivers side is dry and so is the other side. The down tubes are a bit sooty, but dry. Where the exhaust attaches to the rest heading back is wet and slimy. Kinda yellowish. Wonder If something else is causing the smoke. From the end of the Y pipe heading back is wet and slimy. Not sure how to move forward from here.

I wish! Lol. I have an LS6 in my Caddy and last time i looked, it was still in there. lol The smoke is white and kinda stinky. I'm wondering, seeing as both turbos are a bit sooty, but dry on the hot side, if the drivers side cat has coolant still remaining from when that turbo failed and that's where the smoke is coming from. The resonator and muffler are quite slimy and leaking onto the floor theough the weep holes. There are no codes and haven't been any since this first started.

Thanks for the responses.

I have not tride removing CC because it has worked fine for 5 years. Might have to try it tho, to rule it out.

I dont have the turbos off right now. Hoping not to have go through that again. I currently have the Y pipe off and standing against the wall to drain. So far, about 2 tablespoons of that brownish crap have come out. The exhaust side of the turbos are dry, but ther seems to be a lot of crap in the exhaust. It's dripping out the resonater and muffler. I'm wondering if there is residual crap in the cat and just need to be burned or cleaned out.

Just thinkin' out loud.....

One more thing, when this first started, a giant cloud of white stinky smoke engulfed the truck and surrounding area. Now that I've replaced driverside turbo and all related lines and fittings, it still smokes, but not very much. It idles clean for a bit, then slowly starts to blow a little white smoke.
