I am debating two things the tire width and load rating. As far as width my new wheels are 20x10 and have a -19 offset and 4.75 BS so I am concerned that the 305/55 will rub vs the 285/55. The other issue is should I get the LT285/55/20 due to the extra load rating (LT tire)?

Nitto Terra Grapplers
LT285/55/20 (W 11.73 DIA 32.28 Load 3305)
305/55/20 (W 12.40 DIA 33.19 Load 3086)

Would the dia and width between these two really make that much difference in appearance or would it just make sense to go with the 285's. I have 6,000lb boat and trailer that I will pull a lot in the summer months. BTW I am adding a 2.0 or 2.5" leveling kit.

Thanks and Happy Turkey Day!

Ok so now I see that there is also an LT305/55/20 so the load is really not a problem between the two. The question is will the 305's rub with this crazy offset and if so will it be an easy trim fix or should I just go with the 285's or will they require a little trimming too? If so, I would rather have the taller wider tire for the look/stance.

6k lbs. A LT tire would be better as you can air up the tire higher whole towing. If it's only once or twice a year. Don't bother.

I have 305/45/22 Terra grapplers and only tow heavy loads 2x a year at most.

From a load perspective, I have the non-LT 305/55R20 Terra Grappler and pull a 5800lb wake boat regularly without issue. Mine are on stock wheels though.

I ran a set of nittos one time. They are great when new, but get loud and slippery as they wear...

That's one of the major negative trade offs. Being unsprung weight is about 10 times more detrimental to performance when compared to sprung. :/
