Since selling my old Tacoma I am starting a build thread for my Furd. It's a 2012 Furd F150 3.5L Ecoboost. I bought it with about 94,000 miles on it and it had a leveling kit and 305/55/20 K02's.

So far I put a tune on it, upgraded the brakes, added an AFE charge pipe, AFE Stage 2 Intake, upgraded the headlights and fog lights and put in a spray in bed liner. It'll being going to see @JerryTX very soon to get some well needed upgrades :D

Edit:

It originally went up to Tifosi Performance around October to get GT turbos, CRP ported manifolds, CPE Intercooler, Tubrosmart BOV, Full Race Catted DPs and an Intake. I added all this stuff because it was either needing replacement or going out and needed to be replaced soon anyway. Truck was running amazing until the rings let go around 120k miles in February because of carbon build up. Thanks GDI....

So now it's in the process of having a brand new built block with ported heads and EFR Turbos put on from RMB Motorworks.

Looking forward to it! Great looking truck (of course I'm partial to white!) ;)
Thanks Jerry! Hopefully you guys take a lot of pictures too when it's up at your shop :D

How much fun was that charge pipe install? <img src="http://www.f150ecoboost.net/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.png" border="0" alt="" title="Big Grin" class="inlineimg" />
Actually not as bad as I thought! I was going for a test drive and thought "you know let me bring some tools with me" and sure enough the bottom clamp popped off but once I got it back on it hasn't come off.

Can't wait either! Jerry and I have confirmed a date! Be there in two weeks to get it all done! One thing that sucks is that the GT turbos are on national back order but luckily Jerry had a pair from a 13-14 on the shelf ? that means though we'll be routing the plumbing for a BOV now. Hopefully I can get @bair1218 to sell me his intercooler and BOV ?

looks like a good build!!!

Curious why you’d buy a 2012 with 94k miles and put a bunch of money in it (gt turbos, etc.) instead of just getting a 2017-2018 with less miles and make more power tune only?
Bad credit?

When I bought the truck I wasn't going to mod it much other than a tune. I got rear ended so at that point I was stuck with the truck without making any money if I tried to sell it and my payments were still comfortable enough to not worry about getting a new truck and having a $500 a month payment. So I would keep it and make things better as they go out. After I found out the turbos were going I said screw it and would replace the turbos, manifolds and downpipes. While I was doing that I am going to Walnut blast the intake valves and keep the truck running for at least another 100k then decide if I want to get a new truck. I am looking for reliability in this build rather than making power and I am ok with 440hp trust me that's still plenty fast.

I may have rubbed some my clear coat off this weekend off roading  Luckily it's a white truck! Intercooler and BOV has shipped and heading right to @JerryTX ! Big things starting Monday!

A few more days until I'm off to Dallas to see @JerryTX!

Anyone know how I would go about getting E85 in my truck? Do I need a new motor from @RMB_Ryan ? ;)

Note: I Uber to the Best Western closest to Tifosi. (I was there for about 4 days, if I remember correctly)

You're fixing to meet a couple of gentlemen who care about your truck as much as you do. You're in good hands.

And although I'm biased, everyone with a Gen1 Ecoboost F150 needs an RMB Motor. Lol For sure a shortblock, at least.

I found the cheapest hotel I could which is the Motel 6 by the raceway :D I'll be working from there while Jerry works on the truck. Unless, Jerry has a nice waiting room with Wifi ;) I am hoping it'll that itll be done in the 3 days Jerry quoted me because I have an important meeting on Thursday that I cant miss. The intercooler, bov and bov adapter are in Dallas so theyll be at Jerry's tomorrow which means he will have all the parts he'll need to get ready to go on Monday :)

I would really like a motor from RMB but let's see how this one does before I start convincing my wife I need one. I'm not even sure how much it would cost for a motor like that and to have Jerry install it but I will be sure to ask him while I am there ;)

That's exactly what I did. Worked from the hotel. (Stayed outta Tifosi's way)

As for pricing a motor...... That's like pricing a new truck. XL-XLT-Lariat-Platinum-Limited-Raptor

Just depends on what you spec.

Pretty cheap if all you want is to address the glaring weaknesses of the Gen1. Shortblock with better pistons/rods, and some mild headwork.
