What's up guys?! What a great truck we have. Now lets make it a little better sound wise. What do you have? Factory? Upgraded Factory like Sony? Or straight upgrade?

i have the factory speakers and I love sound. Will replace them with JL Audio everything. I have only had great success with JL and believe you get what you pay for. But I was thinking the C5-570 components up front with crossover. Then C5-570x in the rear. I will also be adding an amp. Haven't selected one yet but bet your ass its gonna be JL. Anyways... I haven't pulled apart the door to see if I could do it myself or if I should pay someone to do it. Any tips or tricks would be appreciated. Or any replies for that matter. What do you have and are you happy with it?

I have the upgraded sound system. It's not that premium IMO. I will probably upgrade it sometime in the future.

I'm still running the stock system. It sounds ok but eventually (after the performance mods) it's something I'll look into upgrading. Be sure to create a build thread here: F150 Ecoboost Builds if you decide to do everything your self.

I ran infinity cappa's and a 10" kicker with 2 kicker amps in my 05 and that put out nice sound and mild bass. Saving up to upgrade my 2012 now the sound sucks.

I dropped in a set of Kicker components up front with the tweeters mounted in the door panel right behind the mirror mounts. I kept the crossovers in the door just under the window/lock controls so i have easy access to them if i need to make adjustments. I put a set of the Kicker 2 ways in the back. All in all it was huge improvement over stock for just over $200.

I just finished building a custom sealed sub under the back seats of my SCREW for a 10" dual coil Orion sub. Hope to get the sub mounted and ampt'd this weekend. i try to get some pix posted.

Bill and Lou at Stage 3 offer a nice set of 4 of the rear speakers I used with the wiring harnesses. Contact them for pricing, but I think its about $200.
