I'm bragging, of course, but this has been posted in the oil thread AND the what made your day thread already.

It's why I'm the resident post-who&$.

Now make a high volume waterpump.

I kinda regret stockpiling oil cause now I have 18 quarts of SN+ sitting around and its gunna be like 3 years before I actually use it all.

Would love to know definitively the missing ingredient(s) in SN compared to SP.

Theoretically you could just add a dash of something to your inventory?

Makes me wonder how Amsoil stacks up

amsoil SS will meet all requirements including LSPI. It is the best oil you can get.

They just released API SP and ILSAC GF-6A/6B not to long ago. He talks about it later in the video and specifically how the Gen 1 Ecoboost was used to specify the new SP oils around timing chain stretch and what not.

SP is just the BS 0-16 etc. SN+ already prevents LSPI.

If you have a top shelf SN+ plus oil (not all are the same) you are fine.

Considering it has a solenoid and is technically an electric part too, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Besides, it took them 10 years to make the Gen1 oil pump.

Thanks for sharing!! As soon as anyone finds this for sale, please post. As he said in the video, it doesn't appear on any searches yet, but it is on their Catalog. The m390 (stock replacement) is available everywhere but the HV is not at this time.

EDIT: forgot to check the video description, duh.

FYI, I ordered a couple cases of Kirkland 5W-30 full synthetic about a month ago from Costco Online. What I received is rated API Service SP. Looks like Warren Distribution is staying as current as possible with synthetic certifications. I have to assume this applies to the Amazon and Walmart synthetic stuff too.

Yeah, I think they were one of the first ones to have the SP label. Amazon keeps putting all the Pennzoil and Castrol SN+ stuff on sale and I have not seen the SP up yet.
