Don't know on a 2.7

Around here, the 2.7 isn't even mentioned in the notorious timing chain threads. Unless I just missed it.

Hmmmm. OK.
How about, it can last longer than whatever else wears out first? Or... It can outlast cylinder #3? Or your turbos, or......

Honestly, the 2.7 is now about 5+(?) years in production and there is an impressive number of them on the road. And other than a short run of them digesting coolant, which Ford appeared to have quickly replaced with new longblocks, the only memorable issues that have been reported here are leaking oil pans and excessive exhaust clouding during warm up cycle.

Anything else is in such small quantities, reportingly speaking, that it isn't noteworthy.
