Sunday morning I had my new BFG ko2 tires mounted and balanced at Walmart. I questioned them why it was taking so long and they told me that they were having a hard time balancing the tires, and the service writer out right told me that their balancer wasn't that good.
I got it home and saw that all the tires have a lot of weights on them, and they seem to have "counter weights" due to the fact each wheel has groups of weights in 3 different places around the inner and outer parts of the rim. Each rim has about 5.5 oz to 7oz of weights total.
I didnt watch them so I don't know if they zero balanced on the machine or not. I drove it to work this morning and there wasn't any vibration but should I be concerned about the number of weights on the tire?
Im half tempted to take it somewhere else and have them balanced again cause if I complain to Walmart all they are gonna do it try and balance them again on their crappy balancer.
Should I leave it alone or have them re done elsewhere?
