hey guys,
i recently just bought a 2013 ecoboost and i realized trailer sway is on every time i turn on the truck. Does this feature hinder gas mileage and is there a way to disable it so that it does not come on when i restart the truck?

It's a passive system that doesn't affect anything except sway. An indicator light comes on when it engages so unless you see the light on it ain't doing nothing except monitoring for sway.

I have pulled my trailer through some pretty nasty road conditons. The sway control has only kicked in once. That was on some snow coverd roads in Akansas. Sway control came on and straightend out the trailer real quick. Leave it alone it is not hurting youu MPG and could save you neck when you are pulling a trailer.
