Truck is a 2012 (disclaimer: I know it's not the manifolds themselves). They have a different wastegate setup with powermax turbos versus factory turbos)
Just got formline manifolds put on. Have garrett powermax turbos, full race turbo adapters, xdi +35 pump, wagner IC, mishimoto IC pipes, SB intake, cvfab downpipes catted, full race exhaust. Ever since I got the formlines put on, I can't solve this boost problem. It seems to be intermittent with problems, I am working with Torrie at Unleashed on tune with datalogs.
Sometimes it runs well cruising and at WOT. It's the 50 to 80 percent throttle range where it acts up. Sometimes it does it when i'm cruising in town at 30. Feels like it wants to dump boost at times, oscillate other times, sometimes it makes a screeching or whining noise on passenger side only, sometimes it is oscillating and i can hear a surging noise I guess I would call it.
Have ordered all new wastegate solenoids, ordered new wastegate actuators, new recirculation valves (guess these are blowoff valves)? Replacing all plugs as well. I called Full Race for these parts by the way. I'm having trouble between me not being educated at all in vehicles, mechanic is a small shop here in town, and the technical support all coming together. Full race thinks it may only be that the wastegates are not set properly? I have had it in to check for any leaks 4 times now, and it is scheduled to go into a diff shop next week (dealership), and a third shop in two weeks (custom shop in town).
Anyone else had these problems? Is there any need for a different type of blowoff valves? Truck was pretty strong prior to the formlines going on, I was able to hang with newer camaros and msutangs (stock of course) on the interstate no problem. I would love to get any and all recommendations from you guys. I've been reading this forum for last 4 years for advice on my truck.
